Happy Holidays from RAC!
RAC wants to wish everyone in Roxborough and surrounding communities a happy and safe Holiday Season and New Years!

This past year has been a great time of growth for us as a group. Not only in our memberships, but in spirit. We have been constantly surprised and gratified by how many artists and supporters of the arts exist among us in Roxborough and the surrounding communities. Your help, your participation, your hard work, your friendships, and input are all so important to us!

A famous author once said, "Each friend represents a world in us, a world not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."

How true this is!

Here in Roxborough, we enjoy a sense of privacy and quiet, being detached from the "burbs" of Denver, surrounded by park lands and wildlife. The downside of this is that we can sometimes become too insulated...lost in our own space...and subsequently, find ourselves strangers in our own community.

It is only when we step out and begin to explore that we discover the color and kaleidoscope of personalities around us. We meet, we learn about each other, we find ourselves enlightened, changed, and better for it. We find ourselves at the thresholds of new friendships, new understanding and experience... new worlds. As artists, through these encounters and discoveries, we can only grow in our work.

As a community, both the Roxborough community and the Artistic community, you do not have to stretch far to be a part of it. It is surprisingly easy to be a positive influence on others around you. In fact, in most cases, all it takes is your presence.

Making yourself known as someone who loves art, sharing your enjoyment, your understanding, your perspective of it... this is how we support each other. Enthusiasm is incredibly contagious, and when people gather together with enthusiasm, you cannot help but be bolstered and carried away by it. Simply being in the presence of other creative minds, inspires creativity.

We love our rock formations and the natural beauty that surrounds us, but we have as of yet only glanced at the creative beauty that resides within ourselves and each other. By working together, supporting each other, offering our encouragement and friendships... we can find ourselves gifted with the experience of discovering new worlds, inside and out.

Happy Holidays, Roxborough!!
